Front of Hanoi Backpackers Downtown

Here beer is sold on rolling basis. Once you finish a glass, another one is ready to serve you. The place is in the heart of Old Quarter full of crowd and you can hear the horns of cars, mopeds, bikes and many more. A perfect place to chill after hectic shopping in the Old Quarter.

How to get there: Just find Backpackers Downtown at Ma May road and then opposite to the same you would find a small street stand selling some of the cheapest beer.

Price: The beer is one of the cheapest ones costs around 5000 VND

Timings: No Happy Hours. Just open till late night.

Hanoi Backpackers Downtown- a place for free beer

This place is actually for social hangouts and if you want to gossip and spend some cherishing moments, this place serves your purpose. At times it often get rowdy since you get free beer and if you don’t like it, try the sister hostel in Ngo Huyen road which gives you the same offer but is slightly more chilled and excellent.

How to get there: This place is very much prominent in Hanoi. Located in the Ma May Road, the place can easily be identified since you would find typical backpackers there.

Price: It's free for a specific time. You can get a bottle within 12500 VND.

Timings: Happy hours are from 7 to 8 pm where you get the offer buy 1 and get 1 free. Between 5 to 6 pm you can drink as much as you like free of cost.

Green Pepper

The place is idle for watching the busy streets where bikes and mopeds are whizzing off in front of your eyes. You can see from there people moving towards the Pub street and this place recalls a moment where a spanish movie was being shot.

How to get there: Walk down the Ta Hien road until you get the beer corner. There you would find this bar. You can easily identify tit since it will have some blue stools kept for the customers to sit. It is also a little distance away from Hang buom which is also known as Pub street.

Price: A glass of draught beer is charged 15000 VND but it's more if you prefer to have a bottle.

Timings: You will not get any happy hours here.

Beer street

In this place, many of the stalls are just in front of houses and the hosts are very much friendly with the tourists. Plenty of beer is found in many bars with lots of delicious food.

How to get there:Just closer to Hang Buom you will get this place which is packed with small restaurants and plastic stools and chairs.

Price: Here a bottle can be purchased spending 20000 VND and you will get Bia Hoi within 7000 VND. but be carefully since this place is very much costly in terms of food. The food sold here is overpriced. Check the menu and don’t get there on recommendations.

Timings: No happy hours and open till late night.

Craft Beer Pub

The place looks like a complete bar with a big tv screen in the centre where sports fans can watch games and spend their time in a cosy atmosphere.

How to get there: It is situated in the Hang Buom street. The bar has some excellent wooden interiors with wooden chairs kept outside for the customers.

Price: A bottle of draught beer you get within 25000 VND but if you want a glass you need to spend just the half.

Timings: The happy hours start from 6 pm till 8 pm where you get lots of offers

Coffee Club

Here the view from the bar is magnificent and during the night time the lake is lit up with colourful lights. You can watch the magnificent skyline of Hanoi from the bar and will love to see the chaotic traffic below. You also get a wide range of coffee, teas, food and cocktails here which is unbeatable and really mouthwatering.

How to get there: Go to the Hoan Kiem Lake and at the top of the lake you have many rooftop bars and there you will find Legends Cafe or Highlands Coffee house on one side and on the other side you would have the Coffee club.

Price: Here the beer is very much expensive which is around 30000 to 45000 VND but it's worth having it in a relaxed environment.

Timings: No Happy hours and its open till late night.

Here you would find the local craft beer at 90000 VND. The bar is very much expensive and has an impressive interior. If you are a craft beer fan, this is the right place for you. The bar is situated at 170 tran Vu Hanoi.

Polite Pub:

Here you would get single malt scotch beer with 95000 VND and you can have it with cigars. Also the food is very tasty here. The pub is situated near Than Po Hanoi.

Legend Beer Hanoi:

It occupies the third floor of a building in the Downtown of Hanoi. It is open from 11am till 11pm late night and has some awesome beer brands with German food.

Le Pub Hanoi:

Just take a 5 minutes walk from the Hoan Kiem Lake and you will find this pub which attracts lots of foreign tourists. The beer haere is costly and you can also taste some of the cocktails which are very famous here. The pub is filled with loud music and gives you a pace to spend your evening lavishly.

King Pirates Pub:

A fun themed bar situated near the night market of Old Quarter. Here you will get rum based drinks, local beer and wines. Here you will get local beer within 20000 VND but if you want to have cocktail, it will cost you between 60000 to 140000 VND. The pub is open from 9 am till 1 am in the night.

Binh Minh's Jazz club:

It is owned by the Vietnamese Jazz Player Quan Van Minh and is situated in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The food and the beer here is quite expensive. The jazz performance by International Jazz players occurs between 9pm and 11pm. The club is open from 8am till the midnight.

Press Club Hanoi

Take a walk just for 5 minutes from the Hanoi Opera House and visit the Press Club. You will get various types of beer, wines, cocktails and other soft drinks. The place has a gentleman type of look with a spacious terrace giving a cool atmosphere you drink.It is open from 8:30 am till midnight.
